This test begins with an ANA screen using immunofluorescence assay (IFA). A positive ANA result reflexes to an ANA titer and pattern and triggers a 3-tiered, 11‑antibody cascade, progressing sequentially through autoantibody groups from highest to lowest prevalence in rheumatic diseases to support diagnosis of autoimmune rheumatic conditions.
