This test measures antinuclear antibodies via a multiplex immunoassay, with reflex testing to five extractable nuclear antigen (ENA) antibodies—dsDNA, RNP, Sm, SS‑A, and SS‑B—if ANA is positive. It aids in the evaluation of patients suspected to have connective tissue diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjögren’s syndrome, or mixed connective tissue disease.
