Use

Special Instructions
Ensure serum is separated from cells within 45 minutes of venipuncture and send in a plastic transport tube. Use a red-top tube, and do not use a gel-barrier tube. Submit separate frozen specimens if multiple tests are requested on frozen samples.
Limitations
Results may be influenced by improper specimen handling or delayed separation of serum from cells. Certain medications or therapies might affect hormone levels, leading to potential misinterpretation. The test is specific for pediatric cases and may not be suitable for adults.
