Use
Detect and identify monoclonal immunoglobulin gammopathies
Special Instructions
Sample should be allowed to clot and the serum separated as soon as possible to prevent hemolysis. Samples must be refrigerated for up to 21 days for FLC; for longer storage, they should be frozen.
Limitations
Lipemia and hemolysis can cause sample rejection, as well as plasma specimens. The stability of PE is contingent upon proper storage conditions: at room temperature for four days, refrigerated for two weeks, and frozen at -20°C for up to six months. FLC samples must be refrigerated or frozen for extended storage beyond 21 days.
