Oxycodone/Oxymorphone, Urine Screen with Reflex to Quantitation
Also known as: OXY RFX UR
Use
This test is useful for general screening in contexts of compliance and/or abuse and is a preferred method for ruling out opiate exposure. It detects oxycodone and oxymorphone, with reflex testing to confirmation and quantitation by mass spectrometry if positive. This aids in the identification and quantification of opiate drugs and metabolites, ensuring accurate monitoring and compliance.
Special Instructions
This test is New York state approved. If the specimen screens positive, then Confirmation/Quantitation by LC-MS/MS will be conducted with additional charges applying. For further testing, see Opiates, Urine, Quantitative (ARUP test code 0090364).
Limitations
Presumptive negative results may indicate non-compliance, inappropriate timing of specimen collection, poor drug absorption, diluted/adulterated urine, or limitations of testing. The detection of drug or metabolite is dependent on the concentration within a specific drug class. Results are not valid for forensic use.
