Brucella Antibody, IgM, EIA
Use
Detection of IgM antibodies to Brucella abortus in human sera
Special Instructions
Specimen should be free of bacterial contamination, hemolysis, and lipemia. Maintain specimen at room temperature during transport and storage.
Limitations
False negative results can occur if the specimen contains reduced levels of IgM antibodies due to timing of sample collection in relation to the onset of infection. Cross-reactivity with other antibodies or sample contamination can also lead to false results. Additional testing, confirmation, or alternative assays might be required for comprehensive diagnosis.
