Special Instructions
The test includes EBV-VCA, IgG; EBV-VCA, IgM; Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen antibodies (EBNA); interpretation. Testing schedules may vary, and additional confirmatory or reflex tests may increase turnaround time.
Limitations
Results from this panel are not diagnostic by themselves and should be considered alongside other clinical data and patient symptoms. The test is intended for qualitative determination only. Numeric values above the cutoff are not indicative of the amount of antibodies present.
