HBV Baseline Evaluation, HCV Direct-acting Antivirals
Also known as: Hepatitis
Use
Risk assessment and management of HBV infection status in patients prior to initiation of HCV treatment with direct-acting antiviral agents.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The HBV quantitative real-time PCR assay used in this evaluation has a quantitative detection range of 10 to 1,000,000,000 IU/mL. This limitation may affect the precise quantification at very low or high levels beyond the specified range. Additionally, biotin interference is a potential limitation if patients do not follow the specified guidelines to avoid biotin supplementation before test collection.
