Use
This test is used for people with known cystinuria, cystine stone formers or patients who had a reported "positive" screen from the standard Litholink test, Litholink 24-Hour Urine, KS [910235].

Limitations
The test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp but has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Results may be restricted by errors such as incorrect use of Litholink preservatives, samples too old (>96 hours), or collections outside the specified time range (26 hours).

Collection Instructions
Collect urine over a continuous 24-hour period. Collect from the first morning void immediately and transfer 40 ml to each tube after adding Litholink preservative.
Storage Instructions
Keep at room temperature with preservative, do not refrigerate.
Causes for Rejection
Too old (>96 hours); under or over collected (26 hours); incorrect use of the Litholink preservative or the Litholink preservative not detected
