Pregnancy, Initial Screening Profile With HBV Triple Panel

Use
This initial screening profile is intended for the first prenatal visit to evaluate health status in early pregnancy. This profile aligns with current clinical guidelines and recommendations and includes the HBV triple panel (see references).
Special Instructions
Patients should be questioned about biotin supplementation and advised to stop intake at least 72 hours prior to sample collection. Specimens must be properly labeled with site/source, especially for Chlamydia/Gonococcus Nucleic Acid Amplification tests.
Limitations
This test may exhibit interference if the specimen is from an individual consuming high doses of biotin. Additionally, reflex testing can lead to extra testing charges and time extensions due to confirmatory procedures which might not be anticipated initially.
