Thallium, Urine
Use
Monitor industrial exposure to thallium
Special Instructions
Do not use preservative in urine samples, as preservatives like mercuric oxide (e.g., Stabilur) interfere with all metal testing. When both routine urinalysis and metal testing are required, provide a separate urine specimen without additives for metal testing.
Limitations
The test performance characteristics have been determined by LabCorp, but it has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration. As such, there may be limitations in its use due to the lack of FDA approval, which may affect its validity in certain clinical or regulatory contexts.
