Encephalitis Antibody Evaluation with Reflex to Titer and Line Blot, CSF
Also known as: Encephalopathy-Autoimmune Evaluation, Autoimmune Encephalitis Panel
Use
This panel of autoantibodies aids in the diagnosis of autoimmune encephalopathies and other autoimmune neurological diseases; it evaluates known antineuronal autoantibodies in CSF using a screen with reflex to titer or line blot as indicated.
Special Instructions
Reflex testing is performed based on fluorescence patterns. If Tissue IFA suggests certain antibodies, line blot is performed; if suggestive of ANNA3 or PCA2, titer is performed; additional CBA testing and titers may be performed at additional charge (e.g., PCA Tr (DNER), Myelin, etc.).
