Performing Lab
FISH, Locus‑Specific Probe (x1)
Clinical Use
Order TestUse
This test is used for ordering interphase analysis of 100–300 cells by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using a single locus‑specific probe. The specific probe must be specified in the test order. If multiple FISH tests are ordered on a specimen without chromosome analysis, a tissue culture test code may be added at an additional charge. If results cannot be obtained, the test order may be canceled and replaced by code 39650 (Cytogenetics Communication).
