Gluten (f79) IgE
Also known as: ImmunoCAP®
Use
This is an allergen‑specific IgE antibody test that quantifies an individual’s IgE response to gluten. It is an in vitro quantitative assay intended to be used in conjunction with other clinical information to aid in the diagnosis of food allergy. Allergen‑specific serum IgE testing may be preferred over skin testing in certain clinical situations (e.g., widespread skin disease, recent antihistamine use, uncooperative patients, or risk of serious reaction) ([jdos.nicholsinstitute.com](https://jdos.nicholsinstitute.com/dos/uslabs/test/370143?utm_source=openai)).
