Tetanus Antitoxoid
Also known as: Tetanus Toxin Antibody, Tetanus Toxoid Antibody
Use
This test assesses serum antibody levels to Tetanus Antitoxoid. Immunization with tetanus antitoxoid is effective with booster vaccinations in immunocompetent individuals. Antibody levels ≥ 0.10 IU/mL are considered protective, although tetanus may still occur in individuals with such levels. Results should not be used to determine the necessity of antitoxin administration when clinically indicated. (Quest Diagnostics proprietary assay performance; not FDA-cleared.)
