Use
17‑Hydroxypregnenolone measurement is useful in evaluating congenital adrenal hyperplasia, including 3‑beta‑hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase deficiency and 17‑hydroxylase (P450c17) deficiency, as well as in assessment of women with hirsutism or infertility, as an ancillary steroid assay in comprehensive steroid‐related diagnostic panels.
