Allergen, Tree, Pine (t213) IgE
Also known as: ImmunoCAP®
Use
This test quantifies a patient’s specific IgE antibody response to pine tree allergen (t213), aiding in the evaluation of sensitization to pine allergens. A positive result indicates sensitization but does not necessarily correlate with clinical symptoms; diagnosis should be made by a trained provider in the context of patient history and presentation.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
A positive specific IgE result indicates sensitization only and may not correlate with clinical allergy symptoms. Many individuals with detectable IgE to pine may remain asymptomatic, so results should be interpreted in clinical context.
