CD45 (Leukocyte Common Antigen), IHC with Interpretation
Clinical Use
Order TestUse
This immunoassay is a first-line screening test to evaluate neoplasms of unknown origin and to help determine whether a cell is derived from a hematopoietic origin. In benign tissue or cell blocks, CD45 can be used as a marker of inflammatory cells. The CD45 immunohistochemical stain uses an antibody against a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on most nucleated hematopoietic cell types.
