Use
Qualitative detection of Chlamydia trachomatis RNA using a nucleic acid amplification method. This assay provides sensitive, specific identification of infection and is intended for medical diagnostic use.

Limitations
This test does not include confirmation of positive results by an alternative nucleic acid target. It is not valid for forensic purposes. For confirmation, see CT/NG TMA with reflex to confirmation assay. Not validated for evaluation of suspected sexual abuse.
