Respiratory Allergy Panel Region IX with Reflexes: KS, NE, ND, SD
Use
This panel detects immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies to region‑specific common respiratory allergens (e.g., pollens, molds, grasses, indoor allergens including pet dander and dust mites) to help identify sensitizations that may underlie respiratory allergy symptoms. Reflex component testing may be triggered for certain whole‑allergen positives to provide protein‑level detail for risk assessment and personalized management.
Special Instructions
Positive whole allergen results for select allergens such as dog and/or cat automatically reflex to ImmunoCAP component testing per regional protocol.
Limitations
Only measures IgE sensitization; positive results indicate immunological response but do not confirm clinical allergy or reaction severity. Negative results do not rule out allergy. Results must be interpreted alongside patient symptoms and clinical history.
