Use
Measurement of venom‑specific IgG4 ‘‘blocking antibody’’ may help evaluate and optimize immunotherapy in patients with yellow jacket (Vespula spp) venom hypersensitivity; low levels are associated with increased risk of serious reactions.
Special Instructions
Specimen: collect 1–2 mL whole blood in red‑top tube; assay uses enzyme immunoassay (FEIA) calibrated against international reference preparations.
Limitations
