Use
This test is used to determine the susceptibility of yeast isolates to antifungal agents.
Special Instructions
Maintain media at room temperature. Ensure pure culture yeast isolate is on solid medium and stored in a tightly sealed container with etiologic agent packaging.
Limitations
Susceptibilities cannot be reported if the organism fails to grow in the test medium. Additionally, susceptibilities cannot be performed on mixed cultures. The test has been developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp, but it has not been cleared or approved by the FDA.
