Use
This test is used to evaluate liver function in conjunction with alanine aminotransferase (ALT) or gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT). It may also be useful in evaluating tuberculosis pleuritis or extrapulmonary tuberculosis.

This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by ARUP Laboratories. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. This test is performed in a CLIA certified laboratory and is intended for clinical purposes.

Allow serum tube to clot completely at room temperature. Separate serum or plasma from cells within 4 hours of collection.
