Allergen, Region 11 Respiratory Panel IgE, Rocky Mountain (AZ, ID, NM, WY, CO, MT, UT)
Also known as: REG11PANEL
Use
This test is designed for allergen testing in the Rocky Mountain region, including Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and Utah. It aims to identify specific IgE antibodies to various allergens that are prevalent in this region, aiding in the diagnosis of allergic conditions. By evaluating the IgE levels, healthcare providers can ascertain potential allergic reactions to environmental and dietary triggers.
Special Instructions
Multiple patient encounters should be avoided to ensure the accuracy of the test results. Only a single specimen collection is recommended.
Limitations
Allergen results of 0.10-0.34 kU/L are intended for specialist insight as their clinical relevance is undetermined. While rising IgE concentrations indicate increasing specialization to allergens, they may not correlate with clinical symptoms or skin test results. The assessment of allergy lab results must coincide with clinical history and actual allergen reactivity. A negative result does not exclude the possibility of clinical allergy or even anaphylaxis.
