Engraftment Monitoring, Post
Also known as: Chimerism Testing, Postengraftment Monitoring
Use
Monitor the acceptance of donor cells by the host (recipient) of a stem cell transplant. Polymorphic loci determined in the preëngraftment testing are used for the evaluation.
Special Instructions
To schedule this test, you must telephone HLA customer service at 800-533-1037. It is necessary to ensure that the specimen collection aligns with the specific requirements for engraftment monitoring.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics were determined by LabCorp. However, it has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
