Use
Detect and identify monoclonal immunoglobulin gammopathies
Special Instructions
State patient's age and clinical diagnosis on the test request form. Overnight fasting is preferred for the patient, though not required.
Limitations
The test should not be performed using plasma samples as they are a cause for rejection. Additionally, the minimum volume requirement of 1 mL may not allow for repeat testing if necessary. Additional time may be required for confirmatory or reflex tests, which are not included in the initial turnaround time estimate.
