Use
This test is used for treatment and management of known or suspected kidney stone formers.
Special Instructions
Ordering the Litholink 24-Hour Urine test triggers the delivery of the Litholink At-Home testing kit to the patient. This test requires the use of Litholink's specific At-Home testing kit with a preservative. Patients must accurately state the 24-hour urine volume for proper processing. All samples must be returned to the lab immediately using the prepaid FedEx shipper.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by Labcorp. However, it has not been cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which may limit its acceptance in some regulatory environments. The test is also reliant on the patient following specific instructions for proper sample collection and preservation. Incorrect or incomplete sample collection may lead to rejection of the sample.
