RB1 Oncology Fluorescence in situ Hybridization (FISH)
Also known as: Leukemia FISH, Lymphoma FISH
Use
Confirmation/identification of leukemia/lymphoma-related alterations; leukemia/lymphoma monitoring of residual disease, transplants, and indolent clones (see list or call lab for probe availability)
Special Instructions
For samples where karyotype (510999) and any FISH study are in the same tube, use of EDTA is not recommended due to potential growth inhibition in cell culture. Utilize sterile technique and Labcorp transport kits when possible for specimen collection.
Limitations
This test does not detect molecular mutations or chromosomal alterations not targeted by the probe included in this profile. As the performance characteristics were determined by Labcorp, it has not been cleared or approved by the FDA.
