Use
The concentration of IGFBP‑1 correlates with glycemic status. It may be used for monitoring insulin responsiveness, as a marker for insulin‑producing tumors, for monitoring acute fluctuations in insulin action, and in assessing whether poor glycemic control is due to inadequate insulin treatment or dietary intake issues.
Special Instructions
Overnight fasting is preferred prior to collection. Send out Monday through Friday with the Quest courier.
