Meadow Fescue IgE
Use
This test measures specific IgE antibodies to Meadow Fescue (grass allergen g4), which aids in the diagnosis of allergic sensitization to meadow fescue pollen. Elevated specific IgE supports clinical assessment of allergic rhinitis, asthma, or conjunctivitis in sensitized individuals.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
False-positive results may occur in patients with markedly elevated total serum IgE (>2500 kU/L) due to nonspecific binding. Testing for IgE antibodies may be less informative in individuals previously treated with immunotherapy or when clinical management does not depend on allergen specificity determination.
