Platelet Antibody, Indirect (IgG)
Also known as: Circulating Platelet Antibody, Serum Platelet Antibody, Flow
Use
The identification of circulating platelet antibodies is useful in order to identify immune‑mediated platelet destruction. Disorders include isoimmune neonatal thrombocytopenia, drug‑induced thrombocytopenia, drug sensitivities, allergies, and post‑transfusion purpura. Detection helps determine if thrombocytopenia has an immune basis.
