ANA Screen,IFA, with Reflex to Titer and Pattern/Lupus Panel 2
Also known as: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), FANA, Antinuclear Antibody Screen, Fluorescent ANA, Hep-2
Use
This test screens for antinuclear antibodies (ANA) using immunofluorescence assay (IFA)—the gold standard screening method for autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus. A positive ANA result reflexes automatically to determine titer and staining pattern, aiding identification of disease subtype. In the Lupus Panel 2 version, specific autoantibodies including DNA (ds) antibody, Scl‑70, SS‑A, SS‑B, Sm, and Sm/RNP are evaluated to support lupus-related diagnosis.
