Use
Identification of red cell antibodies and titration of those antibodies which may be clinically significant during pregnancy or transfusion. This test is automatically performed whenever the antibody screening test is positive.
Special Instructions
This test should only be ordered if the patient has a previous history of a positive antibody screening test. It is automatically performed whenever the antibody screening test is positive.
Limitations
Specimens drawn within six months after administration of Rh immune globulin may contain passively administered anti-D. If the mother is Rh-negative, her specimen should be collected before Rh immune globulin is administered. Extremely low-titered antibodies may be too weak to identify, which can result in potential limitations in detecting clinically significant antibodies.

Storage Instructions
Specimens should be tested as soon as possible or within 72 hours of collection. Samples that cannot be tested immediately should be stored at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze.
