The Allergen, Food, Apricot test is designed to quantitatively measure IgE antibodies specific to apricot allergen using the ImmunoCAP Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay technique. Limitations
The test results, particularly in the ranges of 0.10-0.34 kU/L, need to be interpreted with caution as the clinical relevance of these values remains undetermined. Moreover, the concentration of allergen-specific IgE might not always correlate with clinical symptoms or skin test results. Additionally, a negative result does not entirely rule out an allergy or anaphylactic reaction. Thus, results should be combined with clinical history and in vivo tests for comprehensive evaluation.
