Allergen, Food, Raspberry IgE
Also known as: RASPBERRY
Use
This test measures the IgE antibodies specific to Raspberry allergens using the ImmunoCAP Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay method. It is intended for the detection of specific IgE in patients with suspected allergy to raspberries as part of an allergy diagnostic workup. The results can help in identifying patients who may have a clinical reaction to raspberry allergens, aiding in the management of allergic conditions by correlating the test results with clinical history and symptoms.
Special Instructions
Avoid multiple patient encounters during specimen collection. Specimen should be properly separated and transferred as per instructions. Refer to 'Allergen Specimen Collection Instructions' at www.aruplab.com for handling multiple allergen orders.
Limitations
The concentrations of allergen-specific IgE detected in this test may not correlate with the degree of clinical response or skin testing results when challenged with a specific allergen. A negative result does not rule out the possibility of a clinical allergy or anaphylaxis. The test is performed in a CLIA certified laboratory but is not cleared or approved by the FDA. Clinical relevance of results between 0.10-0.34 kU/L is undetermined and intended for specialist use.
