Use
The Allergen Profile, Food−Berry test is used to detect specific IgE antibodies to several types of berry allergens. Special Instructions
This test uses the Thermo Fisher ImmunoCAP® methodology, which provides a reliable measurement of specific IgE antibodies. Results should be interpreted in the context of the patient’s clinical history and other diagnostic results.
Limitations
While the ImmunoCAP® methodology is robust for allergen-specific IgE detection, factors such as cross-reactivity with other allergens and external interferences like recently administered isotopes may affect results. The test does not quantify the severity of an allergic reaction and should not be used as the sole diagnostic tool for allergy management decisions.
