F211-IgE Blackberry
Use
The F211-IgE Blackberry test is used to measure specific IgE antibodies to blackberry allergens. It aids in the diagnosis of allergic diseases and helps guide management plans for patients with suspected blackberry allergy by providing information on the presence and levels of specific IgE antibodies related to this allergen.
Special Instructions
Specimen should ideally be collected using a red-top tube or gel-barrier tube. Ensure proper handling and storage to maintain specimen integrity. Note that test scheduling may vary and additional time might be required for confirmatory or reflex tests.
Limitations
The test results should be interpreted in light of the patient's clinical history and other findings. False positives and false negatives can occur. Factors such as cross-reactivity with other allergens, the patient's exposure history, and technical limitations of the assay may affect results.
