Allergens, Tree, Southeast Profile
Also known as: GATREEPRO
Use
The Allergens, Tree, Southeast Profile test is designed to measure allergen-specific IgE levels to a panel of tree allergens common in the southeastern United States. This test helps in the identification of specific sensitizations in patients with suspected tree pollen allergies. The quantitative results aid in the assessment of a patient's allergic response to each specific tree allergen within the panel, providing valuable information for the diagnosis and management of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, or asthma.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The test detects specific IgE levels to the identified tree allergens but does not measure the severity of the clinical symptoms. Concentrations may not correlate with the degree of clinical response or skin testing results. Clinical history and correlation with in vivo reactivity to specific allergens are essential for accurate diagnosis. A negative result does not exclude the possibility of a clinical allergy or anaphylaxis.
