Alpha-1-Antitrypsin (AAT) by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: A1 AT IHC
Use
Aids in histologic diagnosis of Alpha‑1‑Antitrypsin deficiency. This immunohistochemical stain supports the evaluation of tissue morphology to detect AAT accumulation, serving as an adjunct to confirm alpha‑1‑antitrypsin deficiency in relevant clinical contexts.
Special Instructions
This test is performed as a stain-and-return (technical) service only. Submit by electronic request or by using ARUP Immunohistochemistry Stain Form (#32978) with an ARUP client number. ARUP supply #47808 transport kit recommended for tissue blocks or slides.
