Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (Beta-hCG) by Immunohistochemistry
Also known as: HCG IHC
Use
The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (Beta-hCG) by Immunohistochemistry test is used to identify the presence of hCG beta subunit in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue specimens. hCG is a valuable marker in diagnosing germ cell tumors, trophoblastic disease, and some types of cancers due to its production by these tumors.
