Allergic Bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA) Profile I
Use
This profile serves as an aid in the diagnosis of allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA).
Special Instructions
Ensure that the serum specimen is collected in a gel-barrier tube and transferred to a plastic transport tube. Adhere to the stability requirements as outlined in the individual test information.
Limitations
Non-fumigatus strains of Aspergillus may contribute to ABPA in some cases, and IgG to these strains may not be detected by this assay. The ImmunoCAP® A. fumigatus IgG assay may not detect IgG to all species associated with Aspergillus-related lung disease in the United States.
