Antinuclear Ab Profile, 9-biomarker Profile, by Multiplex Immunoassay, dsDNA, RNP, Sm, SS-A, SS-B, Scl-70, Chromatin, Jo-1, Centromere B
Also known as: ANA Comprehensive Panel
Use
Detect antibodies associated with SLE and mixed connective tissue disease. Anti-Sm is highly specific for SLE. Anti-RNP is found with a variety of rheumatoid diseases. RNP, Sm, SS-A, SS-B, Scl-70, and Jo-1 are extractable nucleoprotein complexes found in the nucleus and/or cytoplasm of substrate cells.
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
The test may have limitations in detecting low levels of antibodies or differentiating between antibody subtypes that require specific confirmatory testing. Testing schedules may vary, and additional time may be needed for reflex or confirmatory tests.
