Chimerism Analysis With CD33/CD66b Cells (Transplant Monitoring)
Also known as: Cell Sorting CD33/CD66b, Chimerism Analysis With Sorted Myeloid Cells, Engraftment Monitoring Sorted Myeloid Cells
Use
Monitor the level of donor CD33/CD66b cells in the recipient (patient-host) of a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Polymorphic loci determined in the preëngraftment testing are used as a reference for the evaluation.
Special Instructions
To schedule this test, you must contact HLA customer service at 800-533-1037. The specimen must arrive at the laboratory between Monday and Friday. Special shipping instructions may be required to ensure the specimen's stability.
Limitations
This test was developed and its performance characteristics determined by LabCorp. It has not been cleared or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The sensitivity of the test is limited to detecting 5% donor cells or less. Improper sample collection or handling may lead to rejection of the specimen, and specific collection tube types must be used to avoid hemolysis or clotted specimens.
