Limitations
FNAs are frequently unsuccessful and may not provide sufficient material for chromosomal analysis. Normal lymph nodes, which are often nonmitotic, may also yield no results. Therefore, it is recommended to perform this test on properly prepared lymph node specimens.

Collection Instructions
Submit lymph node at room temperature using Lymph Node Transport Kit (supplied by Roche). Specimens should arrive in the laboratory within 48 hours of collection. Indicate date and time of collection on the test request form.
Patient Preparation
Patient should not be on chemotherapy.
Storage Instructions
Maintain specimen at room temperature.
