Therapeutic drug management
Special Instructions
Transfer the separated serum or plasma to a plastic transport tube for submission. It is recommended to avoid using gel-barrier tubes as they may interfere with the test results. Ensure proper handling to maintain the integrity of the specimen during transport and prevent contamination.
Limitations
The performance characteristics of this test were determined by the laboratory, and it is not cleared or approved by the FDA. Therefore, results should be interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and other diagnostic tests. A clear relationship between blood levels and clinical response has not been fully established; recent studies suggest optimal therapeutic response may vary between individuals.
