Immunofixation (IFE), Serum and Protein Electrophoresis, Serum
Also known as: Globulins, Serum, IEP, Serum, IFE, Serum and Protein Electrophoresis, Serum, Immunoelectrophoresis, Serum, Protein IEP
Use
Detect and identify monoclonal immunoglobulin gammopathies
Special Instructions
Not provided.
Limitations
This test may not adequately identify all types of monoclonal gammopathies and is limited by the quality and storage conditions of the serum sample used. Plasma samples are unacceptable and will lead to test rejection. Repeat testing may not be possible with the minimum volume provided.
