Assess the function of the antral follicles the dominant follicle/corpus luteum of the ovaries in women
Special Instructions
It is important to note that the test results may be influenced by biotin supplementation. Patients should be asked about their biotin intake and instructed to stop taking biotin at least 72 hours before sample collection to avoid interference.
Limitations
The ultrasensitive inhibin A test results are not interchangeable with values from other inhibin A tests, such as those used in prenatal screening profiles. Results should be interpreted in the context of the specific method used.
