This test measures IgG4 antibodies specific to the Dermatophagoides farinae (American dust mite), which may assist in evaluating immune response patterns in patients suspected of sensitization or allergic response. IgG4 levels can provide insight into chronic exposure and immunologic tolerance mechanisms associated with mite allergens.
