The Extended Myositis Specific Antibody (MSA) panel is designed as an aid for the diagnosis of myopathies associated with autoantibody production. These include inflammatory myopathies (polymyositis, anti‑synthetase syndrome, dermatomyositis), necrotizing myopathies, including statin‑associated myopathy, and inclusion body myositis.
