This antibody panel is useful for evaluation of patients with progressive proximal muscle weakness and antisynthetase syndrome. Detection of myositis‑specific and associated antibodies may help establish diagnosis, support prognosis, and guide treatment decisions in inflammatory myopathies such as polymyositis, antisynthetase syndrome, necrotizing autoimmune myopathy, and overlap syndromes. Use of a targeted panel matching the clinical phenotype is recommended.
